Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Putting On: Utilize the dual pull tabs located on the heel and tongue to easily slide your foot into the boot. This helps maintain the integrity of the collar and upper.
- Lacing: Ensure laces are securely tied, but not overly tight, to provide a snug, supportive fit that allows for natural foot movement without restriction. A proper fit is crucial for maximizing the NIKESKIN upper's wrap-around comfort and ball feel.
Compatibility
- Surfaces: These boots feature a Multi-Ground (MG) soleplate, making them compatible with both natural grass (firm ground) and artificial turf surfaces. They are not recommended for extremely soft or muddy natural grass, where specialized soft-ground (SG) studs would be more appropriate.
- Age Group: Designed specifically for kids, offering sizes appropriate for younger players.
Care
Proper care extends the lifespan and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, remove any loose mud or debris from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or cloth. Clean the studs thoroughly to prevent buildup that can affect grip.
- Wipe Down: Wipe the entire boot surface with a damp cloth to remove dirt and stains. For stubborn marks on the NIKESKIN, a mild soap solution can be used, but avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources, as excessive heat can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives, causing them to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag or box, away from extreme temperatures and humidity. Avoid prolonged storage in a damp environment, which can lead to odor and material degradation.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, use shoe deodorizers or place dryer sheets inside the boots when not in use.
