FAQs
Is the Nike Winflo 12 good for wide feet?
The Winflo 12 offers a standard width fit. If you typically require a wider toe box, you may want to test them for fit or consider a half-size adjustment.
Can I use these for gym workouts?
While these are designed for running, their stable base makes them suitable for general gym activities like moderate weight lifting or treadmill use.
How long should these shoes last?
Typically, road running shoes maintain their cushioning properties for 300 to 500 miles of use, depending on your running surface and weight.
Are these waterproof?
No, the upper is designed for breathability rather than water resistance. They are not intended for use in heavy rain or deep puddles.
What is the primary surface for the Winflo 12?
The shoe is specifically optimized for road running, including pavement, concrete, and paved park trails.
Troubleshooting
Foot slipping inside the shoe during runs
Try the 'runner's loop' lacing technique to increase tension at the ankle collar for a more secure fit.
Outer sole shows premature wear on one side
This is often due to natural gait patterns; if it causes discomfort, consider a gait analysis to see if an insole swap or professional advice is needed.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Nike Winflo 12 trainers, follow these care guidelines:
- Breaking In: Wear the shoes for short periods of walking before attempting long-distance runs to allow the foam and upper to contour to your feet.
- Cleaning: Remove loose dirt with a soft-bristled brush. Hand-wash with mild soap and cold water if necessary; avoid washing machines as they can damage the structural integrity of the foam.
- Drying: Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, which can cause the materials to warp.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating between two pairs of shoes to allow the foam cushioning 24-48 hours to recover its shape.
- Fit Check: Ensure the size UK 10 fit is comfortable with about a thumbnail's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe.
