Full details

The Saucony Triumph 24 is a premium neutral trainer designed for runners who prioritize maximum comfort and cushioning for high-mileage training. Featuring the advanced incrediLUX foam, these shoes provide a highly responsive and plush ride that remains lightweight for long sessions on the road. While they excel in delivering comfort and impact protection, they are specifically optimized for neutral runners, which may limit their appeal for those requiring significant stability or motion control features.

FAQs

Are the Saucony Triumph 24 suitable for racing?

While they are excellent for training and high-mileage, they are designed as a daily trainer rather than a lightweight racing flat.

Do these shoes provide stability for overpronation?

The Triumph 24 is classified as a neutral trainer and does not contain extra stability posts or motion control features.

How long should the cushioning last?

Generally, high-cushioned trainers like these maintain their structural integrity for 400 to 500 miles, depending on your running style and surface.

Can I replace the insoles?

Yes, the sockliners are removable, allowing you to swap them for custom orthotics if needed.

How does the Triumph 24 fit compared to previous versions?

The Triumph 24 generally follows standard sizing; however, the updated mesh upper offers a more anatomical, snug fit.

Troubleshooting

Feeling pressure points on the top of the foot

Adjust the lacing technique to a 'window lacing' style to relieve pressure over the midfoot.

Outsole debris accumulation

Use a dull pick or firm brush to clear small stones from the XT-900 tread patterns after each run.

Unpleasant odor after frequent use

Remove the sockliner after runs to allow for thorough drying and use a moisture-absorbing insert overnight.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Exceptional cushioning for high-mileage comfort
Lightweight feel despite the high stack height
Durable outsole for long-lasting wear
Highly breathable upper material
Responsive energy return during runs

Cons

Not intended for runners needing heavy stability support
May feel too plush for those who prefer a ground-connected feel
Limited to a neutral gait profile

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Triumph 24 trainers, proper maintenance is key.

Break-in: While comfortable out of the box, perform a few shorter runs to allow the foam to adapt to your specific foot strike.
Cleaning: Use a soft brush or cloth with mild soap and water to clean the exterior mesh; never submerge the shoes or machine wash them.
Air Drying: Always let your shoes air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can degrade the cushioning foam.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to maintain the integrity of the adhesive and foam components.
