No, Cuprinol Garden Shades is not designed for use on decking as it is not formulated to withstand the level of foot traffic that floors require.
A minimum of two coats is required for optimal protection and color depth.
Once the paint is completely dry, it is believed to be safe for wood that pets, birds, or wild animals may come into contact with or gnaw.
Simply remove excess paint with a cloth and wash the brushes with water.
No, this product is specifically formulated for outdoor use only.
You can recoat the surface after 8 hours under normal weather conditions.
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of loose old paint. Lightly sand the area to improve mechanical grip.
Apply in thin, even layers along the grain. Ensure you are using at least two coats and stirring the paint thoroughly before and during use.
Clean the overspray immediately while still wet using water and a mild household detergent.
Proper surface preparation is critical for achieving a professional finish. Ensure all surfaces are free of dirt, dust, and flaking materials. For previously coated surfaces, a light sanding will help the new layer bond securely. If you are working with untreated wood, it is recommended to apply a suitable wood preserver first to prevent decay.
To clean your tools, simply remove excess product with a cloth and wash them thoroughly with water. When storing your 5L tin, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or freezing temperatures to prevent the paint from spoiling. Always check the weather forecast before starting, as rain or humidity can interfere with the drying process and the long-term weather resistance of the finish.
