FAQs
Are these golf shoes waterproof?
The Callaway Cheviot Golf Shoes feature a seamless technical fused upper designed for optimal weatherproofing, which provides strong resistance against water penetration to keep your feet dry in most wet conditions encountered on the golf course.
What type of spikes do these shoes use?
These shoes are equipped with a PINS system Black Widow Cleats formation. This is a common soft spike standard used in golf.
Are these shoes comfortable for walking 18 holes?
Yes, they are specifically designed for comfort during long rounds. Features like the Callaway Comfort footbed, Opti-Soft® EVA midsole, and a lightweight construction aim to provide sustained comfort and reduce fatigue over 18 holes.
How do I clean my Callaway Cheviot Golf Shoes?
Wipe the upper with a damp cloth after each use. For the cleats, remove any mud or grass and inspect for wear. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally, away from direct heat.
What is the benefit of the Opti-Soft® EVA midsole?
The Opti-Soft® EVA midsole provides exceptional cushioning and a more natural ground feel. This helps absorb impact and contributes to overall comfort, especially during extended periods of walking.
Can I replace the spikes on these shoes?
Yes, the PINS system Black Widow Cleats are replaceable. You can purchase replacement spikes that are compatible with the PINS system and use a cleat wrench for easy removal and installation.
Troubleshooting
Poor grip or slipping on the course.
Check the PINS Black Widow cleats for wear or embedded debris. Clean the cleats thoroughly and tighten any loose ones. Replace any significantly worn spikes to restore traction.
Feet feel uncomfortably warm or sweaty during play.
Ensure you are wearing appropriate moisture-wicking golf socks. The Opti-Vent® mesh liner helps with breathability, but proper sock choice is crucial. After your round, allow shoes to air dry completely.
Discomfort or rubbing, despite the seamless upper.
Re-evaluate your lacing. Ensure the full lace fastening is snug but not overly tight. Consider trying different lacing patterns. Ensure you are wearing well-fitting golf socks. Break-in period, though minimal due to design, might still be a factor for some users.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These golf shoes are designed for immediate use "straight out of the box." Simply lace them up using the full lace fastening to achieve a secure and comfortable fit tailored to your foot.
Compatibility: The Callaway Cheviot Golf Shoes utilize a PINS system Black Widow Cleats, which are a common soft spike standard compatible with most golf courses requiring non-metal spikes. Ensure your course allows this type of cleat. They are designed for adult male golfers.
Care:
- Cleaning the Upper: After each round, wipe down the seamless technical fused upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt, mud, and grass. For stubborn stains, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by a clean, damp cloth.
- Cleat Maintenance: Regularly inspect the PINS Black Widow cleats for wear and tear. Use a cleat wrench (often sold separately) to tighten any loose spikes and replace any worn-out or damaged ones to maintain optimal traction. Clean out any debris that may accumulate around the cleats.
- Drying: If the shoes become wet, remove the insoles and allow them to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area, away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage materials.
- Storage: Store the shoes in a cool, dry place when not in use to preserve their materials and shape.
