Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These shoes are ready to wear right out of the box. Ensure they fit comfortably before your first hike. If using custom insoles, remove the existing EVA footbed first.
Compatibility: Designed for use on trails, uneven terrain, and in wet conditions. The GORE-TEX® membrane is compatible with standard sock materials, though moisture-wicking socks are recommended.
Care:
- Cleaning: After use, remove loose dirt and debris with a soft brush. Wipe the shoes down with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution, then rinse thoroughly.
- Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the materials and waterproofing.
- Waterproofing Maintenance: The GORE-TEX® membrane is durable, but to maintain optimal performance, avoid harsh chemical cleaners. Occasionally, a waterproofing treatment spray suitable for hiking footwear can be applied to the exterior (avoiding the sole tread) if you notice water absorption.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
