Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust or grease. Fill any cracks or holes and sand smooth. For previously painted surfaces, apply a coat of Farrow & Ball appropriate primer (e.g., white and light tone primer or mid-tone primer depending on the base colour). For new plaster or unpainted surfaces, use a mist coat of thinned emulsion (e.g., 1 part paint to 10 parts water) before applying full coats.
Application: Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Apply with a good quality brush or roller. Two coats are generally recommended for best colour depth and coverage. Allow adequate drying time between coats, typically 2-4 hours, depending on conditions. Avoid painting in extreme temperatures or high humidity.
Compatibility: This emulsion is designed for interior walls and ceilings. It is not recommended for use in areas subject to heavy moisture or significant wear, such as bathrooms, kitchens, or high-traffic hallways. It is compatible with Farrow & Ball primers and undercoats for optimal results.
Care: To clean surfaces painted with Estate Emulsion, gently wipe with a damp, clean cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive scrubbing, as this can damage the delicate matte finish.
