FAQs

What is the primary purpose of this robe?

The Regatta Waterproof Robe is designed for changing outdoors, providing warmth and protection from the elements, especially after activities like swimming or watersports.

Is this robe suitable for very cold weather?

Yes, the fleece lining offers good insulation. However, for extremely cold conditions, layering with additional warm clothing underneath is recommended.

How do I determine the correct size?

The robe is described as having a regular fit and fitting true to size. It is recommended to order your usual size. It is designed to be roomy enough for changing underneath.

Can I wash this robe in a washing machine?

Yes, the robe is machine washable at 40°C. It is recommended to wash with similar colours and avoid bleach or dry cleaning.

What does 'HYDRAFORT' fabric mean?

HYDRAFORT is Regatta's own waterproof fabric technology, designed to provide reliable protection against wind and rain while remaining breathable.

Can the hood be removed?

No, the hood is a 'grown-on' hood, meaning it is permanently attached to the robe and cannot be removed.

What is the length of the robe?

The robe has a knee-length design.

Troubleshooting

Robe is no longer fully waterproof

The durable water-repellent (DWR) finish may have worn off. Consider applying a suitable re-waterproofing spray or wash-in treatment to the outer fabric.

Zipper is stiff or difficult to use

Clean the zipper teeth gently with a damp cloth and try lubricating with a graphite pencil or a specialized zipper lubricant.

Fleece lining feels matted

Ensure the robe is being dried on a low heat setting in a tumble dryer, or gently brush the fleece after air drying to restore loft.

Graphic print is peeling

Avoid high heat when drying and do not iron directly on the print. Gentle washing and air drying are best for preserving prints.
