Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Utilize the Flywire cables by lacing them snugly but not overly tight. This system integrates with the laces to provide a secure, locked-in fit around the midfoot.
- Inner Sleeve: The integrated inner sleeve is designed for comfort and ankle support. Ensure your foot is fully seated within the sleeve for optimal fit.
- Break-in: While generally comfortable out of the box, a short break-in period during light activities can help the shoe conform to your foot.
Compatibility
This shoe is primarily compatible with:
- Gym Training: Ideal for weightlifting, strength training, and functional fitness.
- Cross-Training: Suitable for varied workouts that combine cardio, strength, and agility.
- HIIT Workouts: Provides the necessary cushioning and stability for high-impact, fast-paced exercises.
- Indoor Sports: Can be used for indoor court sports requiring multi-directional movement.
It is not primarily designed for long-distance running or trail running, where dedicated running shoes would offer more specialized cushioning or traction.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your Nike Free Metcon 6:
- Wipe visible dirt from the upper with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap (if necessary).
- Use a soft brush or old toothbrush to gently scrub the outsole and midsole.
- Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners, which can damage materials.
- Always air dry your shoes at room temperature.
- Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators or dryers), as this can warp materials or degrade adhesives.
- You can stuff the shoes with newspaper or paper towels to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
