Setup, Compatibility & Care
Fitting & First Use
- Lacing: Ensure proper lacing for a secure, comfortable fit. The lacing should be snug but not restrictive, allowing for natural foot flexion.
- Break-in Period: While comfortable out of the box, allow for a short break-in period during lighter workouts to fully adapt to the shoe's unique flexibility and support.
- Sock Choice: Wear appropriate athletic socks that complement the shoe's breathable mesh and cushioning for optimal comfort and moisture management.
Compatibility
- Workout Types: Best suited for functional fitness, cross-training, circuit training, boot camps, HIIT, and general gym workouts.
- Surfaces: Excellent traction on gym floors, rubberized tracks, and paved outdoor surfaces. Avoid highly abrasive surfaces for prolonged periods to preserve sole integrity.
Care & Maintenance
To ensure your Nike Free Metcon 6 shoes remain in excellent condition and perform optimally, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) and mild soap diluted in water to gently scrub the mesh upper and rubber sole. For tougher stains on the sole, a magic eraser can be effective.
- Spot Cleaning: For small marks, use a damp cloth with a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can damage materials. Do not machine wash or machine dry.
- Odor Control: Remove insoles periodically to air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the shoes when not in use.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
