The adidas Handball Spezial is a classic court-inspired trainer designed for adults who value retro aesthetics and daily comfort. Featuring a premium suede upper and the iconic gum sole, these sneakers offer a stylish, low-profile look suitable for casual wear; however, because they utilize delicate suede materials, they require extra care to maintain their appearance in wet or muddy conditions.

Yes, the adidas Handball Spezial typically fits true to standard UK sizing. If you are between sizes, it is often recommended to try the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
No, you should never machine wash suede sneakers, as the water and agitation can damage the delicate material and adhesive.
While they are comfortable for light walking, they lack the technical cushioning and stability required for high-impact gym workouts.
Apply a high-quality water and stain repellent spray specifically designed for suede to create a protective barrier.
Yes, the rubber compound used in the gum sole offers excellent grip on most dry, flat surfaces.
Use a specialized suede brush or a clean, dry eraser to gently buff away dry dirt stains.
Consider using a suede revitalizing spray or color restorer specifically matched to the shoe's pigment.
Wipe the rubber edges with a damp cloth and mild soap; ensure you dry the sole immediately after.
To ensure your Handball Spezial trainers stay in top condition, we recommend applying a suede-specific water repellent spray before wearing them outdoors for the first time. For regular cleaning, use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove surface dust or dried mud. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh detergents, as these can ruin the suede texture and color. If the suede gets wet, allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent cracking or warping of the material.
