Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Attach the reel securely to your carp rod using the reel seat.
- Thread your chosen fishing line through the line guide and over the bail arm.
- Engage the reel with the bail arm open and begin winding the handle to spool the line evenly, utilizing the super-slow oscillation for optimal lay.
- Ensure the line is secured with the line-friendly clip, checking for any potential snagging points.
- Familiarize yourself with the rapid front drag system and the instant anti-reverse switch.
Compatibility:
This reel is designed for use with heavy carp rods, particularly those suited for distance casting. It is compatible with monofilament and braided main lines within the specified diameter ranges.
Care:
- After each session, rinse the reel with fresh water, especially if used in saltwater or brackish conditions.
- Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid submerging the reel.
- Periodically, check the line roller for debris. Use a light reel oil sparingly on moving parts like the handle and drag knob if needed, following manufacturer recommendations for reel lubrication.
