Full details
The Korum Zelos Distance Reel 7000 is engineered for specimen anglers who demand high-torque performance for long-range feeder fishing in both rivers and stillwaters. FAQs
What is the gear ratio of the Zelos Distance 7000?
The reel features a 4.7:1 gear ratio, which provides a balance of retrieval speed and high-torque power.
Can I use braid with this reel?
Yes, the line-friendly clips and anti-twist line roller are designed to handle both monofilament and braided mainlines effectively.
What is the line capacity of the 7000 size?
It accommodates 210 meters of 0.28mm line or 180 meters of 0.30mm line.
Why does the reel have two line clips?
The dual clips allow you to fish at two different distances or 'clip up' on two separate spots without needing a second rod.
Is the handle foldable?
The reel features a machined handle with a soft-touch knob, designed for maximum strength and ergonomic comfort during heavy retrieval.
Troubleshooting
Line tangling during the cast
Ensure the line is not overfilled; stay within the recommended capacity (0.28mm/210m or 0.30mm/180m) to allow for a smooth release.
Handle feeling stiff or unresponsive
Check that the handle is fully tightened and free of debris; apply a small drop of reel oil to the handle mechanism.
Line slipping behind the spool
Verify that the floating line rotor guard is properly positioned and not obstructed by tangled braid or monofilament.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Care Instructions:
- Regularly wipe down the bail arm and line roller with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove grit and salt.
- Keep the reel dry and store in a protective case when not in use.
- Every season, apply a light, manufacturer-approved synthetic lubricant to the external handle thread and bail arm hinges to maintain smooth operation.
