Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your new adidas Predator Elite boots is straightforward:
- Preparation: Ensure your feet are clean and dry. Wear appropriate football socks.
- Putting On: Loosen the laces sufficiently to easily slide your foot into the boot. Ensure your heel is seated comfortably at the back.
- Lacing: Tighten the laces from the bottom upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly tight fit. Double-knot to prevent untying during play.
- Break-In: Like all new football boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them for lighter training sessions before full matches to allow them to conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This refers to natural grass pitches that are dry and offer a solid playing surface. While they may offer some grip on slightly softer natural pitches, their optimal performance is on firm, well-maintained grass fields. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or extremely soft/muddy ground (SG) is not recommended and can impact performance and durability.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, knock off any loose mud or dirt. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the synthetic upper, outsole, and studs. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape.
- Laces: Periodically remove and wash laces to keep them clean and prevent them from fraying.
- Product Specifics: Always refer to the specific care instructions provided with your product for detailed guidelines, as material compositions can vary slightly.
