Product Information

Full details

The Rosewood Happy Hideout Pet Mattress is ideal for small to medium-sized pets who crave a sense of security and warmth, specifically designed for those who enjoy burrowing. Its key benefit is the integrated canopy that functions as a private, cozy den, though potential buyers should note that the 70cm footprint may be too snug for larger dog breeds. This vibrant, blue-toned mattress combines durable aesthetics with practical comfort to create a relaxing retreat for your pet.

FAQs

Is the entire mattress machine washable?

Only the removable cover is machine washable; the base and canopy padding should be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth.

What is the diameter of the bed?

The mattress measures 70cm in diameter.

Will this bed slide on hardwood floors?

No, it is equipped with a non-slip base designed to keep the bed in place on smooth surfaces.

Is the fabric suitable for dogs that scratch a lot?

The canvas outer is durable, but it is not indestructible. It is suitable for normal nesting and light scratching.

Can the canopy be removed entirely?

The canopy is built into the design of the mattress and is not intended to be detached.

Troubleshooting

Pet refuses to use the bed

Place a familiar-scented item, such as a worn blanket or a favorite toy, inside the canopy to make the space feel more welcoming.

Cover appears loose after washing

Ensure the cover is completely dry before re-applying to the mattress foam, and verify that all zippers are fully pulled and tucked away.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Provides a private, secure den environment for pets
Soft, high-quality plush interior
Machine-washable cover simplifies cleaning
Non-slip base ensures stability
Stylish, modern visual design

Cons

Fixed size of 70cm may not fit large breeds
Canopy design might feel too warm during peak summer months
Requires floor space for the canopy extension

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the mattress, simply place it on a level surface in an area your pet already frequents. The non-slip base works best on smooth surfaces like laminate, wood, or tile. For compatibility, the 70cm diameter is ideally suited for cats or small dog breeds like Terriers, Shih Tzus, or Pugs. To maintain the mattress, unfasten the zipper to remove the cover. Machine wash on a gentle, cool cycle to preserve the plush texture and the integrity of the canvas. Air drying is recommended to prevent shrinkage, ensuring the cover continues to fit the mattress base perfectly after every wash.
