FAQs

Can the Blanko be used in heavy rain?

No, while the outer shell is weather-resistant and handles light showers or wind well, it is not waterproof and will soak through in heavy or prolonged rain.

Is the blanket safe for the washing machine?

Yes, it is machine washable on a gentle 30C cycle.

How much does it weigh?

The Blanko weighs approximately 1.79kg, making it relatively lightweight for its size and warmth level.

What are the dimensions of the product?

When fully open, the blanket measures 190cm x 140cm.

Does it come with a storage bag?

Yes, it includes a compact carry bag that measures 40cm x 25cm x 25cm when the blanket is packed.

Can I wear it as a poncho?

Yes, it features a central head opening and integrated clips/poppers that allow it to be worn as a poncho or cape.

Troubleshooting

Poppers are difficult to snap together

Ensure no fabric is trapped inside the mechanism and align the male and female parts precisely before applying gentle pressure.

Blanket feels less water-repellent over time

Check if the item needs a gentle wash to remove dirt, or consider applying a water-repellent spray specifically designed for outdoor polyester fabrics.

Storage bag is difficult to close

Ensure the blanket is folded neatly and tightly; try rolling it instead of folding it to reduce bulk before inserting it into the bag.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Highly versatile usage as a blanket, cape, or poncho
Soft and warm interior lining for chilly evenings
Wind and light shower protection
Includes a dedicated carry bag for portability
Machine washable for easy maintenance

Cons

Not intended for heavy, prolonged rainfall
Takes up some space compared to standard thin blankets
Requires manual adjustment of clips and poppers to achieve desired fit

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the Blanko is straightforward: simply unfold it for use as a blanket or utilize the integrated poppers to create armholes and a neck opening for poncho mode. When finished, fold it tightly to fit into the included storage bag. To maintain the material, machine wash the Blanko on a gentle 30C cycle. Avoid using harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the weather-resistant coating on the outer polyester layer. Always air dry the blanket thoroughly before storing it in its carry bag to prevent dampness or odors.
