No, the Levi's 501 Originals are made from 100% cotton and do not contain stretch fibers like elastane.
Wash them inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle, then hang them to air dry to prevent shrinking and color loss.
The button fly is a signature, historical design element of the 501 model, preserved as a classic feature since 1873.
Since they are 100% cotton, they may experience minimal shrinkage if exposed to high heat in a dryer. Air drying is recommended.
Depending on how often you wear them, it typically takes about 5 to 10 wears for the denim to soften and shape perfectly to your body.
This is normal for 100% cotton denim. Wear them around the house for short periods to allow the fabric to soften and mold to your body.
Cotton denim relaxes over time. Avoid sizing up excessively, as the waist will stretch naturally with movement.
Always wash inside out using cold water and a gentle cycle to prevent abrasive contact with other garments or the machine drum.
Because Levi's 501 Originals are made from 100% cotton, it is essential to follow proper care instructions to maintain their fit and finish. To ensure longevity, wash your jeans sparingly in cold water and hang them to dry, as high heat from a tumble dryer can cause the cotton to shrink or lose its structural integrity. When selecting your size, keep in mind that the waist may feel snug at first, but it will relax after several wears. Avoid using heavy detergents that can strip the indigo dye, and turn the jeans inside out before washing to preserve the color.
