Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use
Simply unbox your Nike Dunk Low GORE-TEX shoes and lace them up to your desired comfort level. There's no specific 'setup' required, but a short break-in period might be beneficial for the leather to conform to your feet.
Compatibility
These low-cut sneakers are highly versatile and compatible with a wide range of casual and streetwear outfits. Their classic design pairs well with jeans, chinos, shorts, and various athletic-inspired apparel.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and performance of your GORE-TEX leather shoes, follow these care instructions:
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the leather upper with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher dirt, use a mild leather cleaner specifically designed for GORE-TEX materials. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes that could damage the GORE-TEX membrane or the leather.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the leather and the GORE-TEX membrane.
- Water Repellency (Re-treatment): Over time, the outer DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish may wear off. If you notice water no longer beads up on the surface, you can re-apply a GORE-TEX approved water repellent spray. Always follow the product manufacturer's instructions.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Submerging: While waterproof, avoid fully submerging the shoes in water, as water can enter through the top opening.
