Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning:
- Ear Cushions and Headband: Remove the ear cushions. Gently wipe the ear cushions and headband with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. You can use a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe on the *exterior* surfaces of the earcups and headband, but avoid moisture in any openings.
- Knitted-Mesh Canopy: Avoid getting the knitted mesh wet. If necessary, use a dry, soft brush to gently remove dust.
- Storage: Store your AirPods Max in their Smart Case when not in use. The Smart Case puts them into an ultra-low-power state to preserve battery charge.
- Avoid Liquids: Keep AirPods Max away from excessive moisture, rain, or submersion in water. They are not waterproof.
- Handle with Care: Avoid dropping the headphones or exposing them to extreme temperatures.
- Charging: Use a certified USB-C power adapter and cable for charging.
