FAQs

Is the Regatta Amelle Jacket waterproof?

It is water-resistant, meaning it provides protection against light rain and moisture, but it is not a fully waterproof rain jacket.

Can I put this jacket in the tumble dryer?

It is recommended to air dry the jacket to preserve the structure of the recycled insulation and the integrity of the water-resistant finish.

What is WARMLOFT insulation?

WARMLOFT is a high-performance synthetic insulation that is lightweight and compressible, designed to mimic the heat-trapping properties of down.

Are the materials sustainable?

Yes, the jacket features 100% recycled materials in both its insulation fill and its inner polyester taffeta lining.

How do I adjust the hem?

Use the internal elasticated drawstring located at the hem to tighten the jacket around your waist to block out drafts.

Troubleshooting

Water no longer beads on the surface of the fabric

The DWR finish has likely worn off. Clean the jacket and apply a specialized re-proofing spray designed for outdoor apparel.

Jacket feels less warm over time

Ensure the insulation is not being compressed during storage. Give the jacket a gentle shake to redistribute the fill if it feels uneven.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sustainable construction using recycled insulation and lining
Excellent heat retention for cold-weather comfort
Water-resistant properties keep you dry in light rain
Versatile pocket storage for essentials

Cons

Not intended for extreme high-intensity exertion due to heavy insulation
Padded design may feel bulky under tight outer shells
Requires careful cleaning to maintain water resistance

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your jacket remains in top condition, follow these care guidelines:

Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C using a mild detergent.
Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent damage to the synthetic fill.
Water Repellency: If water stops beading on the surface after extensive use, consider applying a technical DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray.
Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a dry, ventilated space to preserve the loft of the insulation.
