FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

It features long-lasting water resistance, which is effective for light showers, but it is not classified as fully waterproof for heavy rain.

Can I wear this in extreme cold?

The jacket is designed for cool weather and everyday lifestyle use; for sub-zero temperatures, it is best used as a mid-layer or for short durations.

Does it have internal pockets?

Yes, it includes a secure internal zipped pocket in addition to the two external press-stud pockets.

What material is used for the insulation?

The jacket uses WARMLOFT padding, which is a synthetic insulation designed to be warm and packable.

Is the hood detachable?

The Amelle design focuses on a high collar for warmth and does not feature a hood.

How do I adjust the hem?

Use the built-in shock-cord located inside the hem to pull the jacket tighter for a cropped or more fitted shape.

Troubleshooting

Water is no longer beading on the surface.

The DWR finish may have worn off; wash the garment and apply a spray-on water repellent treatment suitable for synthetic fabrics.

The shock-cord feels loose.

Ensure the toggle is fully engaged and there are no obstructions in the hem channel; check if the internal elastic has slipped from the toggle lock.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep your jacket in peak condition, ensure you follow these guidelines:

Cleaning: Machine wash on a gentle cycle using mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can strip the water-resistant coating.
Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting to help re-loft the insulation, or air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources.
Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger to maintain its shape. Avoid compressing the insulation under heavy garments for extended periods.
Maintenance: Periodically check the water-resistant finish; if water stops beading on the surface, consider using a specialized DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray treatment.
