Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces adequately to easily slide your foot into the boot. The mid-cut knit collar will provide a snug entry.
- Fit Adjustment: Once your foot is in, firmly pull the laces to achieve a secure, comfortable fit. Ensure the boot feels snug around the midfoot and heel, but not overly tight at the toes.
- Break-in: Like most performance footwear, these boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions before competitive matches to allow the materials to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Surfaces: The FGMG soleplate is specifically designed for optimal performance on both Firm Ground (FG) – natural grass pitches – and Multi-Ground (MG) – artificial grass surfaces. This versatility makes them an excellent choice for players who play on various fields.
- Age/Gender: These boots are designed for adults and are unisex, suitable for both male and female players.
- Size: This specific variant is a UK 12.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning after Use: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or cloth. Wipe down the upper with a damp cloth.
- Stub Cleaning: Use a small brush (like an old toothbrush) to clean between the studs on the soleplate.
- Drying: Never dry your boots in direct sunlight or with artificial heat sources (e.g., radiators). Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, ideally stuffed with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash your football boots as this can damage materials and adhesives.
