Yes, it helps insulate the shelter, though it is primarily designed to prevent condensation and provide heat retention in colder months.

Does the lighting draw a lot of power?

The system is optimized for efficiency, and the included 16,000mAh battery provides substantial runtime for the LED strip.

Is the battery pack waterproof?

The battery is designed for angling environments, but it should be kept in a dry area inside your shelter, away from direct rain or immersion.

Can the light be dimmed?

Yes, there are six brightness settings available via the remote or the in-cable module.

Is it compatible with other Tempest models?

This model is specifically designed for the Tempest RS 200 series.

How do I charge the battery pack?

Troubleshooting

LED strip failing to turn on

Verify that the 16,000mAh battery is fully charged and securely connected to the in-cable control module.

Remote control is unresponsive

Check if the remote battery needs replacement and ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the in-cable sensor.

Condensation still forming

Ensure the vapour shield is properly tensioned across the ceiling of the shelter without sagging.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Provides essential heat retention in colder weather
Versatile lighting with multiple color and brightness settings
Includes a high-capacity 16,000mAh battery pack
Easy adjustment via remote control

Cons

Adds extra weight to your kit
Requires additional setup time during shelter assembly
Takes up more storage space when packed away

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To install, attach the vapour shield to the internal anchor points of your Tempest RS 200. Ensure the LED strip is positioned at the front-facing edge for maximum coverage. Always use the provided 16,000mAh battery pack to ensure the lighting system operates at the correct voltage.

For maintenance, keep the silver backing clean by wiping it down with a damp cloth after use to ensure the reflective surface remains effective. Store the unit in a dry place to prevent mildew on the fabric components and ensure the remote battery is charged if the system is left in storage for extended periods.
