Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best performance from your PUMA trainers, perform an initial "break-in" walk of 10-15 miles before attempting a race or long-distance run. These shoes feature a standard lace-up fastening; ensure you use the top eyelet (the "runner's loop") if you experience heel slippage. To maintain the integrity of the foam and mesh:
- Avoid washing machines or dryers, as these can damage the adhesive and foam properties.
- Clean off mud or debris using a soft-bristled brush and mild soap.
- Air dry in a cool, shaded area away from direct heat sources to prevent the material from warping.
- Rotate your shoes with another pair to allow the nitrogen-infused foam to recover its shape between runs.
