FAQs

Are these shoes waterproof?

No, they are made from suede and are not waterproof. Use a protective spray to help repel light moisture.

Can I wear these for long walks?

The flexible support makes them suitable for moderate walking, though they are primarily styled for casual and semi-formal wear.

How do I maintain the color of my brown suede shoes?

Regularly brush them to keep the suede nap uniform and apply a color-enhancing suede spray if the color begins to fade.

What is the best way to store the Meare Walla?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading and keep them stuffed with paper to retain the shape.

Is the lace closure standard?

Yes, it uses a traditional lace-up system that allows for a fully adjustable fit.

Troubleshooting

Visible dust or dry dirt on the surface

Use a specialized suede brush to gently remove debris in the direction of the nap.

Scuff marks on the suede

Use a suede eraser to lightly buff the affected area until the mark diminishes.

Fit feels too loose

Adjust the lace tension starting from the bottom eyelets upward to ensure a snug, secure fit.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because the Meare Walla is constructed from suede, proper care is essential. It is recommended to treat the shoes with a suede-specific water and stain repellent spray before the first wear. Avoid excessive exposure to mud or rain, as suede is sensitive to moisture. To clean, use a soft suede brush to gently lift dirt or dust. For stubborn marks, a suede eraser can be utilized. Always store your shoes in a cool, dry place and use a shoe tree or tissue paper to help them maintain their shape when not in use.
