FAQs

What type of baits can these scissors cut?

The Guru Worm Scissors are optimized for soft baits like live worms, artificial grubs, and other pliable fishing baits.

Are these scissors suitable for cutting braided line?

No, these scissors are designed for bait preparation and are not intended for cutting fishing line. Specialized line cutters should be used for that purpose.

How do I clean the scissors?

Rinse the blades with fresh water after use and dry them thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.

Does the protective cover come off easily?

Yes, the protective cover is designed for easy removal and secure reattachment for safe storage.

Will the spring mechanism wear out over time?

The spring-loaded action is designed for durability with repeated use. Proper cleaning and maintenance will help extend its lifespan.

Can I use these scissors with wet hands?

Yes, the soft-touch ergonomic handle is designed to provide a secure, non-slip grip even in wet conditions.

Troubleshooting

Scissors not cutting cleanly

Ensure blades are clean and free from debris. Check for any damage to the serrated edges. For persistent issues, the blades may need professional sharpening.

Spring mechanism feels stiff

Clean the pivot point of the scissors and ensure no bait residue is impeding the spring action. A drop of light lubricant (water-safe) can be applied sparingly to the pivot if needed.

Handle feels slippery

Ensure the handle is wiped dry. The soft-touch material is designed for grip, but excessive water or slime can reduce its effectiveness. Clean the handle with a damp cloth if necessary.
