The Barbour B.Li Mdn Beaufort is designed for women who appreciate classic heritage aesthetics paired with modern, versatile utility. This jacket serves as an ideal layer for transitional weather, offering a sophisticated multicolor plaid pattern that transitions easily from countryside walks to city outings; however, users should note that the traditional wax cotton construction requires periodic re-waxing to maintain its signature water-resistant properties.

No. You must never machine wash, dry clean, or iron a waxed jacket, as this will destroy the wax coating and waterproof properties.
Depending on how often you wear it, most users re-wax their jacket once a year to maintain optimal water resistance.
The Beaufort model typically features a classic collar design; however, many Barbour hoods are sold separately and can be attached if the jacket features the necessary press studs.
The jacket generally fits true to size, but since it is designed as an outer layer, we recommend checking the size guide if you plan to wear thick layers underneath.
Use a sponge and cold water to gently wipe away any mud or dirt. Allow it to air dry naturally.
This is normal for new wax jackets; regular wear will naturally soften the fabric over time.
The wax coating has likely worn off; perform a re-waxing treatment using official Barbour wax dressing.
Wax jackets develop a unique patina through use; these are characteristic of the fabric and do not affect performance.
To ensure the longevity of your Barbour jacket, avoid machine washing or dry cleaning, as these processes strip the wax finish and damage the integrity of the fabric. Instead, spot clean the surface with cold water and a soft sponge. If the jacket loses its water-repellent quality, apply a fresh coat of Barbour wax dressing. When storing, ensure the garment is completely dry and hung in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources. Because the sizing follows generic apparel standards, it is recommended to consider your preferred layering habits when selecting your size; choose a larger size if you intend to wear bulky sweaters underneath.
