No, you must never machine wash or dry clean a waxed cotton jacket as it will destroy the wax coating and the fabric properties.
It depends on usage, but generally once a year or whenever you notice the water no longer beads off the surface of the fabric.
It is highly water-resistant due to the wax finish, making it perfect for light rain and showers, though it is not classified as fully submersible waterproof.
The jacket is designed for a comfortable adult fit, but we recommend checking the size guide to accommodate for layering clothes underneath.
Hang it up to dry naturally in a well-ventilated room away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the wax.
This is a sign that the wax coating is wearing off. Apply a fresh layer of Barbour wax following the manufacturer's instructions.
Allow the mud to dry, then gently brush it off. If necessary, sponge clean the area with cold water.
This jacket does not require any complex setup; it is ready to wear immediately. Compatibility is high, as the classic plaid aesthetic pairs well with denim, corduroy, or wool trousers. To ensure the longevity of the garment, follow these care guidelines:
