Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Sizing: Due to the laceless design, selecting the correct size is paramount. Try them on with the type of socks you typically wear for football. The fit should feel snug but not uncomfortably tight, with no excessive movement inside the boot.
- Break-In: Like most performance footwear, a short break-in period is recommended. Wear them during light training sessions before a full match to allow the Fiberskin upper to adapt to your foot's shape.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This includes natural grass pitches that are firm, dry, or slightly damp.
- Avoid: Not recommended for use on soft ground (muddy pitches), artificial grass (AG), or indoor courts (IC), as this can lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear, and potential injury.
Care
Always refer to the product label inside the boot for specific care instructions. General care guidelines for football boots include:
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud by tapping the boots together. Use a soft brush or a damp cloth to wipe down the upper and outsole.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can cause the materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the studs and sole for wear and tear, ensuring they remain in good condition for optimal grip and safety.
