Symmetry fleece is a type of polyester fleece fabric known for being lightweight, warm, and durable. It's often treated to be anti-pilling, meaning it resists the formation of small balls of fiber on the surface.
'Anti-pill' means the fabric is treated or constructed in a way that reduces the likelihood of small balls (pills) forming on the surface due to friction during wear and washing.
The Hot Shot II fleece provides good warmth for its weight and is ideal as a mid-layer. For very cold or harsh weather conditions, it is recommended to layer it under a more substantial insulating jacket or a waterproof outer shell.
Yes, this fleece is designed as unisex and is suitable for both boys and girls.
Refer to the product's sizing chart and compare it with the child's measurements. The product information specifies 'kids' size children's UK 5-6', so it's best to measure your child and consult a size guide.
The fleece is made from 70% polyester and 30% recycled polyester, with a fabric weight of 170 g/m².
It can be machine washed at 40°C. Avoid bleaching, and tumble dry on a low heat setting. Iron on a low heat if needed. Do not dry clean.
Ensure you are washing the fleece according to the care instructions, avoiding harsh detergents or excessive agitation. Check for any rough surfaces the fleece might be rubbing against during wear or washing.
Gently try to move the zipper up and down a few times. If it persists, a small amount of graphite (from a pencil lead) or a silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the zipper teeth.
Check that fabric softener was not used, as this can sometimes reduce the effectiveness of anti-pill treatments. Tumble drying on a low heat setting can help restore some softness.
