Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the lace-up design is tied securely but not overly tight. The Dynamic Fit collar should feel snug around your ankle without restricting movement. Experiment with different lacing patterns to find your optimal comfort and lockdown.
- Break-In Period: Like most high-performance boots, a short break-in period is recommended. Wear them for light training sessions or walks before competitive matches to allow the materials to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed and optimized for soft, natural grass pitches. The specialized studs provide maximum traction on wet and muddy surfaces. Using them on firm ground, artificial turf, or indoor surfaces is not recommended as it can damage the studs, compromise performance, and potentially void any warranty.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dirt and mud. For stubborn stains on the Gripknit upper, a mild soap solution can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to crack or stiffen. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check the condition of your soft ground studs. Replace any worn or damaged studs to ensure optimal grip and performance. Some soft ground boots feature interchangeable studs, allowing you to adapt to varying pitch conditions.
