FAQs
Are these sandals suitable for long-distance hiking?
The Teva Tirra Sandals are best suited for light to moderate hiking and day trips due to their enhanced cushioning and support. For very long or strenuous hikes, dedicated hiking boots might offer more robust support and protection.
How do I adjust the straps for the best fit?
The sandals feature multiple hook-and-loop straps. Adjust the forefoot strap, instep strap, and heel strap independently to achieve a snug yet comfortable fit that prevents slipping without causing pressure points.
Can I wear these sandals in water?
Yes, the polyester straps are quick-drying, and the Spider Rubber outsole provides grip even when wet. They are suitable for activities involving water crossings or beach wear. Remember to rinse and air dry them afterward.
What is the main difference between the Tirra and the classic Tirra model?
The Tirra Sandals feature additional midsole foam for enhanced comfort and a revised tread pattern on the outsole for improved traction compared to the classic Tirra model.
How should I clean the micro-suede lining?
Gently clean the micro-suede lining with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Rinse with clean water and allow to air dry. Avoid soaking the material.
Do these sandals offer good arch support?
Yes, they feature a molded EVA footbed designed to provide good arch support, making them comfortable for extended wear and activities.
What sizes are available?
These sandals are available in various women's UK sizes. Please check the product details for the specific size range offered.
Troubleshooting
Straps feel uncomfortable or cause rubbing
Adjust the hook-and-loop straps for a more precise fit. Ensure the micro-suede lining is functioning correctly and not bunched up. If irritation persists, consider if the strap is too tight or too loose.
Sandals feel slippery on wet surfaces
While the Spider Rubber outsole offers good traction, extremely slick surfaces can still be challenging. Ensure the outsole is clean from mud or debris. Use caution on polished or very smooth wet surfaces.
Footbed feels stiff initially
The EVA footbed may require a short break-in period. Wear the sandals for short durations initially and gradually increase wear time. The foam will conform to your foot shape over time.
