Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Mundial Team trainers is straightforward:
- Lacing: Untie the laces completely.
- Insert Foot: Slide your foot into the trainer, ensuring a snug but comfortable fit.
- Adjust Laces: Pull the laces firmly, starting from the toe, working your way up to the ankle. Tie them securely but not so tightly that they restrict circulation.
- Break-In Period: Like most leather footwear, these trainers benefit from a short break-in period. Wear them for light activities or shorter sessions initially to allow the leather to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These trainers are specifically designed for optimal performance on:
- Artificial Turf (AstroTurf)
- Hard Ground Surfaces
- Firm Outdoor Pitches
- Five-a-Side Pitches
They are not recommended for soft, natural grass pitches, as the outsole pattern is not designed to provide sufficient grip on such surfaces and could lead to reduced performance or stability.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your Mundial Team trainers:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off dirt and debris with a damp cloth. For tougher mud, use a soft brush. For the suede areas, a dedicated suede brush is recommended.
- Drying: Allow trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as extreme heat can dry out and crack the leather and suede.
- Leather Conditioning: Periodically apply a quality leather conditioner to the leather sections to keep them supple and prevent cracking. Use products specifically designed for natural leather.
- Suede Protection: Consider using a suede protector spray to help repel water and stains.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove the insoles and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or baking soda inside the trainers.
