FAQs

What type of pitch are these boots best suited for?

These boots are specifically designed for soft, wet, and muddy natural grass pitches. The stud configuration and Anti-Clog soleplate are optimized for these conditions.

How do I customize the tongue?

The fold-over tongue features a dotted cutting line. You can carefully cut along this line with scissors to remove the excess material if you prefer a sleeker, laceless appearance.

How should I clean the Anti-Clog soleplate?

After playing, use a soft brush to remove excess mud. A damp cloth can be used for further cleaning. Ensure all mud is cleared from the stud areas.

Can I use these boots on artificial grass?

No, these boots are not suitable for artificial grass or firm ground. Using them on these surfaces can damage the studs and negatively impact performance.

What is the benefit of the premium leather upper?

The premium leather provides a soft, supple feel that enhances ball control and offers superior comfort, molding to the shape of your foot over time.

How do I maintain the leather on my boots?

Clean the leather with a damp cloth after use and allow it to air dry. Periodically applying a leather conditioner designed for sports footwear will help keep it supple and durable.

What is the difference between the fixed and detachable studs?

The boots feature a mix of fixed and detachable metal studs. The detachable studs can be replaced or swapped to fine-tune traction based on pitch conditions, while fixed studs offer consistent grip.

Troubleshooting

Mud clogging the soleplate despite Anti-Clog technology

While Anti-Clog technology helps, extremely heavy or sticky mud may still accumulate. Clean the soleplate thoroughly after each use with a brush and water. Ensure all mud is removed from stud sockets.

Studs feel loose or unstable

Ensure studs are properly tightened using a stud key before and during play. Check for any signs of wear or damage on the stud threads and sockets. Replace any damaged studs.

Leather feels stiff after drying

This can happen if boots are dried too quickly or without proper care. Apply a leather conditioner specifically designed for sports footwear to restore suppleness. Ensure boots are always air-dried away from heat.

Discomfort or rubbing

Ensure you have the correct size and fit. Break in the leather by wearing them for short periods initially. If discomfort persists, check lacing technique and consider if the tongue customization is needed.

Cons

  • Specifically designed for soft ground only; performance may be compromised on other surfaces.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Stud Configuration: The boots come with screw-in studs designed for soft ground. Ensure they are securely tightened before first use. The mix of fixed and detachable metal studs provides targeted traction.
  2. Tongue Customization: If you prefer a laceless look or a lower profile, the fold-over tongue has a dotted cutting line. Carefully use scissors to cut along this line to remove the excess material if desired.

Compatibility:

  • Pitch Type: These boots are specifically designed for use on *soft, wet, and muddy natural grass pitches*. They are not suitable for firm ground, artificial grass, or hard surfaces, as this can damage the studs and compromise performance.
  • Stud Key: A stud key is typically required to tighten and loosen the screw-in studs. Ensure you have one for maintenance.

Care:

  • Cleaning: After each use on muddy pitches, clean the boots promptly. Use a soft brush to remove excess mud from the upper and soleplate. A damp cloth can be used for further cleaning. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the leather and adhesives.
  • Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keeping them in a boot bag can help protect them.
