Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
To get the most out of your adidas Goletto Astro Turf Football Boots, follow these guidelines:
Setup
- Lacing for a Secure Fit: Ensure the laces are securely fastened but not overly tight. Adjust the tension evenly from the toe box upwards to achieve a snug, supportive fit. A double knot is recommended to prevent laces from coming undone during play.
- Initial Wear (Break-in): Wear your new boots for short periods during light activities or training sessions before intense play. This allows the synthetic leather upper to soften and conform to your foot shape, maximizing comfort and reducing the risk of blisters.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: These boots are specifically designed for artificial turf (Astro Turf) pitches. The outsole's stud configuration is optimized for traction and durability on synthetic surfaces.
- Not Recommended For: Using these boots on natural grass (firm ground, soft ground), indoor courts, or hard outdoor surfaces is not recommended, as it can compromise performance, accelerate wear, and potentially cause discomfort.
Care
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, wipe off dirt, mud, and turf granules from the synthetic leather upper with a damp cloth. Use a stiff brush to clean the rubber outsole and remove any debris trapped between the lugs.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid placing them near direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight), as this can cause the materials to crack, shrink, or become damaged. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Avoid damp conditions which can lead to mold or odor.
- Deep Cleaning: For more stubborn dirt, use a mild soap or a specialized synthetic leather cleaner according to product instructions. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, which can damage the materials.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove insoles for separate drying. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots overnight to absorb moisture and neutralize smells.
