Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Unroll the rug completely and allow it to lay flat in its intended location for 24-48 hours to help remove any creases or wrinkles from packaging. For faster flattening, you can place heavy objects on the corners.
Compatibility: This rug is suitable for use with most floor types, including hardwood, tile, and laminate. It is also compatible with underfloor heating systems. If using on a hard floor, consider a rug pad for added grip and to prevent slipping.
Care:
- Vacuuming: Regularly vacuum your rug using a standard vacuum cleaner or a robot cleaner. For rugs with a high-low pile, vacuum in the direction of the pile for best results. Avoid using a vacuum with a rotating beater bar on high settings, as this can damage the pile.
- Spot Cleaning: For minor spills, blot the affected area immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild detergent mixed with water and a clean sponge. Blot gently from the outside of the stain inwards. Avoid soaking the rug.
- Deep Cleaning: For a more thorough clean, professional cleaning is recommended periodically. Ensure the rug is completely dry before placing it back on the floor.
- Rotation: Rotate the rug every 6-12 months to ensure even wear and prevent fading from direct sunlight.
