Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your new adidas Predator Elite SG boots are ready for use out of the box. Simply use the traditional lace closure system to secure them firmly on your feet. For optimal comfort and performance, ensure laces are snug but not overly tight. Breaking in new football boots usually takes a few training sessions to adapt to your foot's unique shape. Consider wearing them for shorter periods initially.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. This means they are best suited for wet, muddy, or natural grass surfaces where longer, often metal, studs are required for maximum traction. Using them on firm ground (FG), artificial turf (AG), or indoor courts will not only reduce performance but may also cause damage to the boots and potentially lead to injury.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose mud and dirt using a soft brush or cloth. Wipe the upper with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using a shoe tree can help maintain their shape.
- Lacquer Finish: Please note that the metallic lacquer finish on the bottom of the ControlFrame 2.0 soleplate may wear off during play. This is a normal aesthetic characteristic and will not affect the performance or durability of the product.
