It is generally recommended to avoid the washing machine as it can degrade the adhesives and material structure. Stick to manual spot cleaning.
Use a standard foot measuring device or trace their foot on paper. Leave about a thumb's width of space at the front for growth and comfort.
While durable, these are lifestyle trainers. For high-intensity sports like track or soccer, consider sport-specific footwear.
As with any dyed fabric, excessive exposure to harsh sunlight can cause slight fading over time. Keep them stored indoors.
Yes, the 574 series features a stable midsole design that provides baseline arch support suitable for growing feet.
Double-knot the laces or replace them with slightly textured laces that hold a knot better.
Ensure the child is fully undoing the laces before removing the shoe rather than forcing their foot out.
Regularly inspect the tread pattern and use a dull tool to gently pry out any stuck debris to maintain grip.
To ensure your New Balance 574s last, follow these guidelines. For sizing, these are standard UK children's fittings; ensure the heel is locked in place with the laces tied properly to prevent slipping. For care, avoid submerging the shoes in water. If the shoes become dirty, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dried mud or debris. For stubborn stains on the upper material, use a mild soap and a damp cloth, dabbing the area gently. Always air dry your trainers away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can warp the sole materials and damage the adhesive.
