FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for walking long distances?
While they offer good cushioning for everyday wear and moderate walks, they are designed more for casual comfort and convenience rather than extended high-mileage walking or athletic performance.
How do I know if I have the right size?
The shoes should fit snugly but comfortably without being too tight. Your heel should stay in place when walking, and there should be adequate room in the toe box. As they are slip-ins, a secure fit is important to prevent them from slipping off.
Can the insoles be removed or replaced?
In many Skechers slip-in models, insoles are lightly adhered. While they may be removable with care, they are not typically designed for frequent removal. Replacement insoles can be used if desired, but ensure they are compatible with the shoe's construction.
What does 'Vegan' mean for these shoes?
It means that no animal-derived materials or by-products were used in the manufacturing process of the shoes.
How long does the machine washable feature typically last?
With proper care (cold wash, gentle cycle, air dry), the machine washable quality should hold up for the typical lifespan of the shoe. Avoid high heat drying, which can damage the materials and construction.
Is the riveted instep strap adjustable?
No, the riveted instep strap is a fixed design element and is not adjustable. It contributes to the overall fit and style of the shoe.
What is the 'Heel Pillow™' feature?
The Heel Pillow™ is a design element integrated into the heel collar of Skechers Hands-Free Slip-ins® shoes. It provides extra cushioning and helps cradle the heel, making it easier to slip the shoe on and ensuring a secure fit.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel too tight or stiff initially.
This is common with new Stretch Fit® uppers and riveted straps. Wear them around the house for short periods to allow them to conform to your feet. If discomfort persists, consider if the size is appropriate.
Difficulty slipping foot in.
Ensure the Heel Pillow™ area is clear. Try slightly angling your foot as you slide it in. If the shoe is the correct size, this should become easier with use.
Insole feels flat or less cushioned over time.
The Skechers Air-Cooled Goga Mat™ insole may require cleaning. Remove the insole (if possible) and gently clean it. If the cushioning has significantly degraded, it may be time to consider replacement insoles designed for comfort shoes.
Knit upper appears dirty after a wash.
Ensure you are using a cold, gentle cycle and a mesh laundry bag. For stubborn stains, pre-treat with a mild fabric cleaner before washing. Always air dry.
