Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your adidas Samba Leather Trainers Juniors arrive ready for immediate use. The primary setup involves lacing them securely for a comfortable and supportive fit.
- Lacing: Thread the laces through all eyelets, ensuring they are not twisted. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up.
- Adjusting Fit: Once laced, pull the laces evenly to achieve a snug but not overly tight fit. Your child's foot should feel secure without any pressure points.
- Tying: Tie the laces using a double knot for extra security, especially during active sports.
Compatibility
- Intended Surfaces: These trainers are specifically designed with a non-marking gum rubber outsole for optimal performance on indoor surfaces such as basketball courts, gymnasium floors, indoor soccer fields, and other polished indoor sports surfaces.
- Age Group: Designed for juniors, indicated by the sizing. Ensure you select the correct UK size for your child's foot to maximize comfort and performance.
- Activities: Ideal for indoor sports like basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball, gym classes, and general active wear where grip and floor protection are important.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your trainers:
- Cleaning the Upper (Leather & Suede):
- For general dirt, wipe the leather sections with a soft, damp cloth. Use a mild soap solution if necessary, but avoid harsh chemicals.
- For suede sections, use a suede brush to gently remove dirt and restore the nap. For tougher marks, a specialized suede cleaner can be used sparingly.
- Always allow trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources.
- Cleaning the Outsole: Wipe the gum rubber outsole with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. This helps maintain optimal grip.
- Drying: If trainers get wet, remove the insoles and stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture. Allow them to air dry completely.
- Storage: Store trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid storing in damp or humid environments.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry the trainers, as this can damage the materials and construction.
