FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for running?
Yes, the Runfalcon 6 is designed for active play and running, featuring a supportive midsole for cushioning.
Do these trainers have actual laces?
They feature elastic laces that provide a snug fit without needing to be tied, paired with a hook-and-loop strap for security.
Can I machine wash these trainers?
It is not recommended to machine wash these shoes, as it can damage the adhesive and foam materials. Spot cleaning is the safest method.
Are these waterproof?
No, the trainers feature a breathable mesh upper which is designed for airflow, not for water resistance.
What is the best way to determine the size?
Measure your child's foot length from heel to toe and compare it against the UK size chart, leaving a small gap for growth.
Troubleshooting
The shoe feels too tight across the top of the foot.
Loosen the elastic laces carefully and adjust the hook-and-loop strap to a slightly wider setting.
The shoe is making a squeaking noise on indoor surfaces.
This is often caused by dust or debris on the outsole; wipe the soles with a damp cloth to restore grip.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Easy to put on and take off for independent children
- Excellent cushioning for running and jumping
- Lightweight construction prevents foot fatigue
- Breathable material helps regulate temperature
- Provides good stability for developing feet
Cons
- Textile upper can stain if exposed to heavy mud
- Not waterproof for rainy day puddle jumping
- Elastic laces are not replaceable with traditional laces
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Runfalcon 6 trainers stay in top shape, follow these simple steps:
- Fitting: Ensure the hook-and-loop strap is adjusted so that the shoe feels secure but not restrictive across the instep.
- Daily Care: After muddy play, allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can warp the materials.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove loose dirt from the mesh upper. For deeper cleaning, spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid submerging in a washing machine, as this can degrade the cushioning components.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry area to maintain the integrity of the foam midsole.
