Pernettya Mix - Carbeth Plants

No, the berries are ornamental and are not considered edible; keep them away from children and pets.

It is strongly recommended to use ericaceous compost to maintain the correct acidity for the plant to thrive.

Keep the soil moist, particularly during dry spells in the summer and when the plant is newly established in a pot.

It performs best in partial shade, though it can handle full sun provided the soil remains consistently moist.

The Pernettya Mix is bred for a compact habit, making it ideal for pots and small spaces; it typically remains a manageable, low-growing shrub.

This is likely due to the soil being too alkaline. Apply an ericaceous plant food or chelated iron to adjust the pH levels.

Ensure the plant has received adequate sunlight during the summer flowering period and avoid heavy pruning which may remove the flower buds.
