Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started (Setup)
- Lacing: Ensure proper lacing to achieve a secure yet comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points or heel slippage. Your foot should feel locked in without excessive tightness.
- Break-In Period: While often comfortable from the first wear, a short break-in period with a few lighter runs can help your feet adapt to the shoe's performance-oriented fit.
Compatibility
- Running Surface: Best suited for track surfaces and paved roads. The outsole is not designed for rugged trails or uneven terrains.
- Activity Type: Optimized for competitive running, speed training, and racing. Not recommended for walking, cross-training, or other athletic activities that require different types of support or durability.
- Footwear: Wear with thin, moisture-wicking running socks to enhance comfort and prevent blisters during high-intensity efforts.
Care and Maintenance
To prolong the life and maintain the performance of your Nike ZoomX Dragonfly trainers:
- Cleaning: Gently hand wash with mild soap and cold water. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove dirt. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Always air dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (like radiators), which can damage materials. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for extended periods.
- Usage: Reserve these trainers for their intended purpose of speed workouts and racing to maximize their performance lifespan. Using them for casual wear or non-running activities will accelerate wear and tear.
