Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup/Fitting:
Ensure your child tries on the boots with the type of socks they typically wear for outdoor activities. There should be a thumb's width of space between their longest toe and the end of the boot, and the heel should feel secure without slipping excessively. Lace them firmly but not too tightly, ensuring even pressure across the foot.
Compatibility:
These boots are ideal for hiking, trail walking, outdoor play, and general wet-weather use. They are designed for a range of outdoor environments, from woodland paths to grassy fields.
Care:
- Cleaning: After use, remove loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher mud, a gentle rinse under lukewarm water can be effective. Avoid harsh detergents.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, which can damage materials and adhesives. You can stuff them lightly with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Waterproofing: Over time, the Hydropel treatment may need replenishing. Use a suitable footwear waterproofing spray or treatment, following the product's instructions, to maintain the water-resistant properties.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place.
