FAQs

Are these shorts machine washable?

Yes, they are machine washable, but we recommend a gentle cycle with cold water to maintain fabric quality.

Do these shorts have pockets?

These shorts are designed as performance wear and do not feature external side pockets.

What material are the shorts made of?

They are constructed from 100% durable and lightweight polyester.

Can these be worn for swimming?

While made of polyester, they are designed specifically for field sports and may not be chlorine-resistant like dedicated swimwear.

How do I ensure I get the right size?

The shorts feature an elasticated waistband and drawcord, allowing for some flexibility; select your standard size based on the generic sizing chart provided.

Is the Rangers crest embroidered or printed?

The shorts feature official club detailing consistent with Umbro's performance range for the 2026/27 season.

Troubleshooting

Drawcord has retracted into the waistband

Use a safety pin attached to the end of the cord to carefully thread it back through the eyelet.

Fabric snagging

Avoid contact with rough surfaces or sharp objects that could pull the fibers of the performance polyester.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Rangers 2026/27 Third Shorts remain in peak condition, follow these care guidelines: Always wash in cold water with similar colours to prevent fading of the black fabric. Avoid using harsh bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the technical properties of the polyester and the integrity of the printed team crest. It is recommended to air dry the shorts rather than using a high-heat tumble dryer to prevent shrinking or damage to the elastic waistband.
