Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your new adidas Predator League football boots is straightforward:
- Lacing: Ensure laces are tied securely but not too tightly, allowing for comfortable movement. The fold-over tongue should sit neatly over the laces.
- Initial Wear: It's advisable to wear the boots for short periods during practice sessions to 'break them in' before a match. This helps the material mold to the foot for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for firm ground (FG) pitches. This typically refers to natural grass fields that are dry and offer a stable playing surface. They are not optimized for:
- Soft Ground (SG): Wet, muddy pitches where longer, metal studs are usually required.
- Artificial Ground (AG): Synthetic turf pitches where shorter, numerous studs are needed to prevent stud pressure and provide appropriate grip.
- Indoor Courts (IC): Smooth, flat indoor surfaces.
Care
Proper care will extend the lifespan and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after playing, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grass. Pay attention to cleaning the studs and outsole to maintain traction.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the synthetic materials.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Refer to Label: Always consult the product label inside the boot for specific care instructions provided by adidas. The composition is 100% Synthetic for the upper, lining, and sole, which generally means they are durable and relatively easy to clean.
