FAQs
Is the Saucony Ride 19 a stability shoe?
No, the Ride 19 is categorized as a neutral running shoe designed for runners who do not require extra arch support for overpronation.
Can I use these for marathon training?
Yes, the Ride 19 is highly versatile and durable enough to handle the volume and varied intensities required for marathon training.
Does the Ride 19 have a high drop?
The Ride 19 maintains a classic heel-to-toe drop designed to facilitate a smooth, natural transition for most neutral runners.
How often should I replace these shoes?
Typically, running shoes like the Ride 19 should be replaced every 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running surface and body weight.
Is the upper waterproof?
No, the upper is made of engineered mesh, which is designed for maximum breathability rather than water resistance.
Troubleshooting
Feeling of slippage in the heel
Adjust your lacing pattern using the eyelet furthest up to create a 'runner's loop' or lock-lace, ensuring a more secure fit.
Mesh upper feels tight after a long run
Feet naturally swell during exercise. Ensure you are wearing appropriate running socks and consider loosening the laces slightly before starting your run.
Uneven outsole wear
Inspect your gait cycle. If wear is excessive in one area, consider professional gait analysis at a local running store to check for necessary support or orthotic inserts.

- Performance may vary depending on individual foot strike patterns
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Saucony Ride 19 trainers, proper maintenance is essential.
- Break-in Period: While the engineered mesh offers an adaptive fit, allow for a few short runs to let the upper and cushioning conform to your specific foot shape.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the engineered mesh with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh detergents, which can break down the adhesives.
- Drying: Air dry your trainers away from direct heat sources like radiators, as extreme heat can degrade the integrity of the PWRRUN+ foam.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place and ensure they are not left compressed under heavy objects to maintain the shape of the heel collar and cushioning properties.
