Full details
The Saucony Ride 19 trainers are designed for adult male runners seeking a versatile, comfortable, and responsive shoe for a variety of runs. They offer adaptive cushioning and smooth transitions, making them suitable for easy miles, long runs, and faster training. A potential caveat is that their neutral support might not be ideal for runners requiring significant pronation control. Key features include enhanced softness, lighter weight, and improved responsiveness for a dynamic feel.

FAQs
Are the Saucony Ride 19 suitable for marathon training?
Yes, the Ride 19's combination of cushioning, responsiveness, and lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for marathon training, especially for runners who prefer a neutral shoe.
What is the difference between the Ride 19 and previous models?
The Ride 19 is noted for being softer, lighter, and more responsive than its predecessors, offering an updated feel for comfort and performance.
Can I use these shoes for trail running?
The Ride 19 is primarily designed for road running and general training on hard surfaces. They are not recommended for technical trail running due to their tread pattern and construction.
How do I know if I need a neutral shoe like the Ride 19?
Neutral shoes are best for runners with a neutral gait, meaning their foot lands and rolls inward slightly. If your foot tends to roll excessively inward (overpronation) or outward (supination), you might benefit from a stability shoe or custom orthotics.
What is the expected lifespan of the Saucony Ride 19?
Typically, running shoes like the Ride 19 last between 300-500 miles. This can vary based on running surface, individual biomechanics, and care.
Do these trainers come in other colors?
While this guide focuses on the White colorway (Size UK 6.5), the Saucony Ride 19 is available in various colors and sizes. Please check available options for specific variations.
Troubleshooting
Laces come undone frequently.
Ensure laces are tied securely using a double knot. Consider replacing standard laces with elastic or lock-style laces for a more permanent hold.
Discomfort in the arch area.
This could indicate a need for more arch support. Try using aftermarket insoles with higher arch support or consult a running specialist about gait analysis.
Shoes feel too tight in the forefoot.
Loosen the laces in the forefoot area. If the issue persists, consider if this specific size or width is appropriate for your foot shape.
Slight squeaking noise during walking or running.
This can sometimes occur due to new materials rubbing together. Often, this noise will subside after a few wears as the shoe breaks in.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are threaded correctly through the eyelets. Adjust the tightness from the bottom up, ensuring a snug but not constricting fit around the midfoot. The heel should feel locked in without excessive pressure.
- Initial Wear: Wear the shoes for short periods initially to allow your feet to acclimate to the fit and cushioning.
Compatibility:
- Surface: Designed for road running and general training on hard surfaces like pavement and treadmills.
- Support Type: These are neutral shoes, best suited for runners with a neutral foot strike or those who use custom orthotics.
Care:
- Cleaning: Remove loose dirt with a soft brush. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing or submerging the shoes in water, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid storing in damp conditions or extreme temperatures.
