Johnstone's Wall & Ceiling Seashell Soft Sheen Paint is an ideal choice for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking to achieve a sophisticated, velvety finish on interior walls and ceilings. This high-quality emulsion provides excellent coverage and durability, making it well-suited for busy households that require surfaces to be both beautiful and wipeable. While it excels at minimizing surface imperfections, users should note that the subtle sheen may highlight major wall damage if not properly prepared beforehand.

This paint is durable and wipeable, but for areas with high steam and moisture, we recommend using a dedicated kitchen and bathroom paint.
Yes, this product is specifically formulated to perform well on both walls and ceilings.
Drying times can vary based on temperature and humidity, but the paint is generally touch-dry within a few hours.
Use a damp, lint-free cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges.
If you are painting over a clean, previously painted surface, a primer may not be necessary, but it is recommended for bare plaster or significant color changes.
Ensure you are using a high-quality roller and avoid over-working the paint once it begins to tack up.
Ensure the surface is properly primed and allow for full drying time between coats to build up necessary opacity.
Check that the surface was properly prepared and sanded before application; apply a second coat to achieve a uniform sheen.
Before beginning your project, ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose paint or dust. For optimal results, apply a suitable primer if you are covering a dark color or a porous surface. Use a high-quality synthetic brush for cutting in corners and a medium-pile roller for the main wall surfaces to achieve the best finish. Maintain the paint by keeping the lid tightly closed when not in use and storing it in a cool, dry place. If the wall requires cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth with a mild detergent; avoid using abrasive scrubbers that could degrade the soft sheen layer.
