Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The Torhill Hi boots feature a classic lace-up closure. To ensure the best fit:
- Loosen Laces: Fully loosen the laces before putting the boots on.
- Insert Foot: Slide your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated.
- Tighten Laces: Starting from the bottom eyelets, gradually tighten the laces, ensuring they are snug but not constricting. Adjust to your preferred comfort level.
- Knot Securely: Tie a secure knot or bow to prevent the laces from coming undone during wear.
Compatibility
These boots are designed for a standard fit and are best suited for casual and smart-casual attire. They pair exceptionally well with:
- Jeans (straight, slim, or relaxed fit)
- Chinos or corduroys
- Casual trousers
- Workwear-inspired clothing
Care & Maintenance
Given the premium suede material, proper care is essential to maintain the boots' appearance and longevity.
- Protection: Before first wear, apply a high-quality suede and nubuck protector spray. Reapply periodically as directed by the product instructions.
- Cleaning: For light dirt, use a suede brush to gently remove debris and restore the nap. For stains, use a specialized suede cleaner according to its instructions. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Drying: If the boots get wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with shoe trees to help them retain their shape. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
- Avoid: Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scrubbing.
